Meet Our Former Interns

Many of our successful career financial representatives started out as interns. Here are their stories:

Alex DobrinskaAlex Dobrinska,
Financial Representative since 2016

I learned about the Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative Internship program at a career fair at my alma mater, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After meeting with Ally, Suzy and Matt, and learning about the on the job experience the internship provided, I knew my goals aligned with the goals of the program. My internship started in January 2016. I spent a semester and summer learning about the industry and meeting with prospective clients to discuss how Northwestern Mutual fits into their financial goals. I found a passion for helping people and quickly decided I wanted a career as a Financial Representative. I became a full time rep in October 2016 and appreciate the opportunity to devote more time offering financial solutions to my clients.

Barry Conrad FiesBarry Fies, CLU®

As Barry learned more about the career and the opportunities that Northwestern Mutual provides, he opted to become a full-time Financial Representative: “The internship made me realize what a strong company Northwestern Mutual is, which makes it very easy to stand behind any solution I offer to my clients.”
